Finished University

Well, it’s done. It’s finally over. I will (probably) graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Earth Science from the University of Auckland later this year. It has been a long time coming - I started this degree in 2013… But that’s another story.

Going back to university was certainly an interesting experience, and learning during the COVID-19 pandemic certainly wasn’t ideal. University is supposed to be about interacting and learning in a collaborative environment. Props to the professors of mine who put in the effort and built a decent online learning environment. Those who did not shall remain unnamed.

Dusting off the geological thinking hat was a challenge, especially because I was diving into stage three courses after not thinking about rocks for four years. Luckily the Earth Science department of Auckland University is a well oiled machine stuffed with knowledgeable professors. Shout out to Prof. Mike Rowe, what a legend.
